Since the escalation of the conflict in late 2023, Humaniti has adapted its relief model to meet urgent and evolving needs. Our current support includes:
Emergency Aid on the Ground:
✅ Hot Meals: Thousands of displaced families are served cooked meals daily, primarily rice and stew-based dishes.
✅ Clean Water: We continue to fund daily water deliveries, though operations are increasingly threatened by diesel shortages.
✅ Medical Aid: We provide medical tools, financial assistance, and customized support for injured and disabled individuals, including orphans and civilians.
✅ Orphan Care: Over 5,000 orphaned children receive monthly $50 care packages including food, hygiene items, fresh produce, clothing, and cash support.
✅ Shelter: Humaniti operates and supports tent villages for displaced families. Two of these villages — in Al-Mawasi (April 27) and Deir Al-Balah (May 7) — were recently hit by airstrikes, resulting in multiple deaths, injuries, and the destruction of dozens of tents. Despite this, other camps remain operational.
✅ Essential Supplies: Distribution of blankets, hygiene kits, infant formula, diapers, and seasonal items.
✅ Takiyya Kitchens: Support for communal kitchens that continue feeding large groups of displaced families.
Preparing for Recovery:
As soon as conditions allow, we are ready to:
✅ Scale up food aid using preserved and bulk goods
✅ Rehabilitate water wells and supply systems
✅ Expand mobile and fixed healthcare services
✅ Launch shelter rebuilding and debris removal
✅ Support job creation and local economic recovery
✅ Rebuild access to education and healthcare
