August 2025 | Gaza Update:

It’s now been over five months since any substantial humanitarian aid entered Gaza, and the crisis continues to escalate.

According to The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA): The situation in Gaza “is no longer a looming hunger crisis, but a full-blown famine.”

It reported that in July, nearly 12,000 children under the age of five in Gaza were identified as suffering from severe acute malnutrition, The highest monthly figure recorded so far, according to the Nutrition Cluster.

By the mercy of Allah & despite the near-total blockade, we at Humaniti remain on the ground, delivering life-saving support through our trusted local partners. 


🔴 61,430+ lives lost since October 2023, with the majority being women and children.

🔴 Thousands more injured, including dozens wounded during an Israeli strikes on July 2025, at a food distribution site.

🔴 93% of children in Gaza (approx. 930,000) are at risk of famine.

🔴 66+ confirmed child starvation deaths, with 58 since the March 2, 2025, blockade began.

🔴 2.2 million people (entire Gaza population) are facing Emergency or Catastrophic food insecurity (IPC Phase 4 & 5).

🔴 +1700 deaths and +12,800 injuries have been reported among those awaiting aid near distribution sites since May 27 to date.

The streets of Gaza, once filled with the warmth gatherings, now stand in ruins. The sound of children laughing has been replaced with the echoes of hunger and grief. Families who once shared plates with loved ones now sit in the dark, unsure where their next meal will come from.

💔 As of August 2025, at least 61,430 Palestinians have lost their lives, and more than 153,213 are wounded. Women and children make up a devastating portion of the casualties. The suffering is unimaginable, yet the world moves on.

🔴 1.84 million people in Gaza are facing extreme food insecurity. There is no clean water, no steady food supply, no medicine for the sick, and no power to keep hospitals running.

The World Health Organization reports that Gaza’s hospitals are nearing total collapse. Life-saving medicines are running out. Medical teams are stretched beyond capacity. And more than 60,000 children are severely malnourished, to make matters worse, recent bakery closures due to flour and fuel shortages mean families now go days without bread. This is not just a crisis. It’s a catastrophe. And the window to act is closing fast.

Mobile Clinics: Humaniti’s mobile clinics are a lifeline for communities in Gaza with no access to functioning hospitals. Over 5,000 individuals benefited from these mobile units, receiving vital medical support and psychosocial care.

Medical Mission: Humaniti’s medical missions provide life-saving healthcare in Gaza, where hospitals are overwhelmed and critically under-resourced. Thousands of patients received urgent care, including life-saving treatments and essential medications. 

Water Well Rehabilitation: Humaniti rehabilitated water wells, providing clean water to over 50,000 individuals and preventing waterborne diseases. (Al Khair and Al Naser)

Hot Meals and Medical Aid: Food insecurity affects millions in Gaza, leaving many families without even a single proper meal a day. Humaniti served over 150,000 hot meals and delivered food parcels to more than 25,000 households.(Deir Al-Balah and Rafah)

Emergency Shelter: Humaniti has provided emergency shelter supplies, including blankets and mattresses, to over 10,000 individuals.

Ramadan Aid: During last Ramadan, Humaniti delivered over 50,000 iftar and suhoor meals to fasting families in Gaza. These meals provided relief and dignity to families observing the holy month in challenging conditions. (Deir El Balah - Gaza Strip)

Food Hospice (Tekiyah): Serving hot meals to Gaza’s most vulnerable communities. Thousands of families rely on these community kitchens to receive daily nourishment and hope. Over 30,000 people benefited from kitchen hot meals. (Deir El Balah - Gaza Strip) 

Orphan Support: As of March 2025, Over 3,000 5,000 Gaza’s orphans are supported with food, clothing, and education through Humaniti’s Orphan Support Program. The orphans also benefit from the well needed assistance and emotional support.

100 Family Village: A village in Deir El Balah accommodating 100 families with permanent shelter, including daily meals, drinking water, a playground, a Masjid, and a school for 300 children, prioritizing the ill, elderly, pregnant women, and children.

How does Humaniti get relief in Gaza?

In the midst of the current volatile situation in Gaza, the logistical challenges of delivering aid to the region are undeniable. However, Humaniti operates on a collaborative and partnership-driven model, enabling us to work alongside organizations with a longstanding presence in Gaza, predating the recent conflicts. Humaniti maintains a network of reputable partners, registered charities, NGOs, and trusted organizations, to facilitate the efficient delivery of aid to Gaza. Our operations in Gaza began before the full blockade was imposed, as we initiated partnerships with four organizations which were already operating within Gaza, procuring items from local suppliers. Humaniti then began working with another trusted partner organization which had an inventory of food and non-food items in their warehouse in Gaza as well as a water well that is being used to provide water. At this time, none of our aid is getting in, but we are working with a handful of organizations that have been allowed by the Israeli government to bring in aid through the Rafah border. Thus, Humaniti has established a process which allows us to provide aid in Gaza despite the blockade.

How long will supplies last?

Essential supplies in Gaza are currently running out, posing a critical challenge that Humaniti is working to address. Our dedicated partner, leveraging the efforts of local aid workers, is actively engaged in procuring fundamental resources that are available to extend vital support. At this time, supplies are very limited, and in some cases, we have run out of aid. A substantial portion of our supplies, including crucial items such as pallets of medicine, remains in anticipation outside the Rafah border. Humaniti has initiated preparations for tents equipped with essential provisions specifically tailored for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) who have been able to enter Egypt. Despite the existing challenges, we remain steadfast in our commitment to delivering timely and indispensable aid to those in need in any capacity we can.

What type of aid are we providing?

Since the recent conflict in Gaza began, we've been actively providing a variety of essential items, adapting to the evolving needs and restrictions. Initially, we started off by providing hot meals, drinking water/water tanks, medicine, medical supplies and equipment, fuel, flour, more hot meals, blankets, mattresses, clean water sources, emergency shelter, and medical supplies for local hospitals. When the borders closed, our supply availability became limited, especially in terms of fuel, medicine, and medical equipment. However, we continued providing important assistance like hot meals, cash vouchers, a limited supply of water tanks, blankets, hygiene kits, winter clothes for kids, and community meals to feed a large group.

How do my donations turn into aid?

Your generous contributions are used to invest in projects in Gaza in collaboration with our partners on the ground. Our partners have been procuring items from local suppliers and, in some cases, using their own stores from their ongoing work within Gaza to provide aid. Humaniti also has a truck with a substantial amount of aid on standby, waiting to enter Gaza.

The Indus Health Network (IHN) provides quality healthcare absolutely free of cost to millions of deserving patients through its countrywide network of hospitals in Pakistan. What is childhood cancer?

Childhood cancer (also called pediatric cancer) typically refers to a cancer that is found in children and teens, and sometimes young adults. It is not just one disease. There are many types, which can be found in different places throughout the body.

The most common cancer in children is leukemia, a type of blood cancer. Cancer can also occur in organs and tissues such as the lymph nodes (lymphoma), nervous system (brain tumors) and muscles, bone and skin (solid tumors).

Does cancer treatment save lives?

Cancer treatments do in fact regularly save lives. However, one of the challenges of a cancer diagnosis is the need for continued treatment making your support all the more necessary for those who have nowhere to turn.

Is my donation Zakat eligible?

What is the average cost of cancer treatment?

How is my Zakat money spent? Who is it spent on?

The Zakat donations that we receive from our donors are distributed among Zakat eligible patients for whichever treatment they are receiving from Indus Health Network facilities.

What are your guidelines for distributing Zakat Donations?

The Indus Hospital provides quality care without any discrimination, free of cost through the support of your Zakat and Donations.

With the help of reputable Sharia Scholars, The Indus Hospital (TIH) has developed a criterion to ascertain if Zakat is applicable to a certain individual. Whenever a patient visits the Indus Hospital, he/she goes through the assessment with TIH’s welfare officer to determine if the patient is eligible for Zakat or not.

Once the recipient of Zakat is identified, their MR number is marked to signify that the patient’s treatment should be supported from Zakat account. The patient is requested to sign a declaration granting the Indus Hospital permission to collect Zakat on their behalf and to use that Zakat to sponsor the treatment of his/her and/or other patients or hospital requirements. Once the patient is discharged, hospital generates an internal bill and sends it to the Zakat Committee for settlement.
