It's a dynamic environment where diverse communities can connect, fostering respect and understanding through shared physical and spiritual goals.
The Deen Show Studio at The Deen Center will be a hub for digital Dawah, offering engaging Islamic content that bridges gaps between diverse audiences. It's where media meets mission, spreading Islam's message of peace and unity far and wide.
The Deen Center is a great place to offer religious education to children. By providing a space for kids to learn and grow in their faith, it helps to strengthen the community and ensure the continuation of the religion for future generations.

The Dawah Center will serve as a place where our community can come together to pray, learn, and spread the message of Islam. It will have a mosque for daily prayers, regular sermons to educate the community, and various workshops to help fight Islamophobia.

Join Us In Spreading The message of Islam

Islam is a beautiful religion that has touched the hearts and lives of millions worldwide.
At its core, Islam teaches us how to be kind and compassionate and to live our lives in accordance with the teachings of Allah. It promotes unity, brotherhood, and sisterhood among everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background. 

The beauty of Islam is truly universal. It is a religion that transcends borders and cultural differences, bringing people together for a common cause. Whether in the mosque, the community, or the world at large, the message of Islam unites people in a way that few other things can.

Islam can completely change one’s life for the better, which is why Muslimi and Brother Eddie have always sought to promote the message of Islam and its teaching. And Alhamdulillah, it is truly a pleasure to see that the number of people reverting to Islam is increasing day by day.

But it is not enough

There are about 331 million people in the United States, and Muslims only take up 1.1% of the population.
Which means a big portion of the population is left untouched by the teachings of Islam. In fact, most Americans don’t even know what Islam is and if they know, then they are most likely affected by Islamophobia
This is because:
  • There is a lack of knowledge and understanding of Islam and very few institutes where Non-Muslims can go to find out more about the religion which leads to ignorance, misconceptions and fear of the religion
  • ​There is a negative portrayal of Islam in the Media and political discourse which causes distrust
  • ​​Many people are uncomfortable with what they don’t understand, and so the fear of the unknown may stop them
Ignorance and Islamophobia are big issues for the Muslim community, mainly due to the lack of dawah centers in the United States.

We plan to change this

The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said with reference to Islam, “This matter will certainly reach every place touched by the night and day. Allah will not leave a house or residence but that Allah will cause this religion to enter it, by which the honourable will be honoured and the disgraceful will be disgraced.”

With the aim to take part in this blessed cause, Brother Eddie started doing dawah through the Deen Show. 

The Deen Show is one of the first and only Islamic Tv Talk shows in America since 2006 that talks about a variety of different topics related to Islam with special guests from around the world.

The mission of the show is to spread the message of Allah, connect people to Islam and serve communities. Brother Eddie has been continuously working towards this cause with complete dedication and integrity for over 15 years.

But when he analyzed the current situation in the United States, he came to a realization. 

The Deen Show isn’t enough, if we want to make a big impact, we need a stronger approach. And so to continue to bring communities together and remove mistrust from the minds of people, The Deen Show needs a Deen Center.

The Deen Center will be the first Mega Dawah Center in the country. It will host multiple facets of activities and opportunities to spread the message of Allah (SWT) and his Prophet (PBUH)

It is our duty as Muslims to spread the true message of Islam and combat misconceptions that surround it. And the best way to carry out this duty is to aid in the cause of building this Dawah Center.

The huge beautiful city of Vaughan, Ontario (Canada) is home to thousands of Muslims, Alhamdolillah.

We live as the Ummah should…

A peaceful, caring, and loving community, helping each other become better Muslims and better human beings.

We come from different nationalities under the umbrella of our beautiful religion…

Regardless of colour, race, or any other differences, we live together harmoniously.

We are proud to say, our community is one of the most loving, diverse, and educated Muslim communities in all of Canada – if not the world.

For years, Alhamdolillah, our community has been growing at a rapid pace.

A significant amount of Muslims every year move to Vaughan… Or REVERT to Islam!

We are glad that Allah has blessed us to help many reverts to Islam over time.

But For Such A Huge Community, We Face A Painful Situation:

We have not had a single masjid large enough to accommodate all our Muslim brothers and sisters.

We have thousands of community members, and not have a place to serve them all.

In 2017, we started a small Masjid -it accommodated very little of the thousands of community members.

This proved to be not enough. We chose to aim for a bigger space.

Then, realizing the growing need, we started looking for bigger spaces.

We acquired three units at 9100 Jane Street in Vaughan. The place has room for about 300 people.

Even then, it was far from accommodating the thousands.

It is heartbreaking to see some of them turn away and do not come back because they assume they will not find space…

It is troubling to think about the impact it will have on the kids and their future.

Our Track Record:

We have been honoured with the trust and support of the local Muslim communities.

When we announced that we wanted to acquire a place for a masjid on Jane Street in 2019, we raised $2.7 million within 24 months.

This masjid is in a shopping plaza and allows for 300 people at one time.

There are Qur’an classes for kids and classes for aqeedah, fiqh and supplications for everyone in the masjid.

This masjid is functional, Alhamdolillah, and offers a place for Muslim brothers and sisters.

The problem persists as more and more people join the community and want to pray in congregation as is Sunnah.

A masjid is what keeps us all together – eradicating all our differences.

A masjid that will not only help us guide the Muslims but also give a safe place to the new reverts.

We need a bigger space to make room for more people who want to pray and learn the religion in its true essence, and stay strong as Ummah.

Because of the Real Estate prices skyrocketing, we may NEVER have a masjid like this in Vaughan again.

We cannot compete with Real Estate Developers.

This place – or another like one – is not likely to be available at this price in the near future.

…and we may never be able to secure land for a masjid like this ever again.

The owner of this land is helpful and decided to give us preference, but only until the end of March, 2023, to pay $8.5 million.

The Prophet ﷺ said:

“When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity, beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them.”

About Islamic Society of Vaughan

We are raising funds to build a stand-alone masjid for Muslims from all over the city of Vaughan.

In the past, we have completed two Musallah projects. But, none of these were big enough to accommodate our rapidly increasing Muslim population.

This time, we want to go for a space to accommodate a larger number. We aim to have a safe, peaceful place for Muslim brothers, sisters, and children to associate with the soothing shade of Islam.

Phase 1 Succeeded

Alhamdulillah, Eddie received a positive response from all and was able to secure the land and properties.

We are pleased to announce that The Deen Center has officially gotten the keys for a 35,000 sq ft facility located at 2802 SR 60 E, Valrico, Florida 33594.

After a long journey of hard work, we've reached a significant milestone: March 1st, 2024, marks the first Jumu’ah at the Deen Center! We’ve named the masjid the Jesus Islamic Center: House of Monotheism.

Now that Phase 2 of the project is completed, we face the biggest challenge of all - constructing the Dawah Center.
